Media Release: Volunteer Collaboration with Home Depot Enhances Lives of Over 1,000 Ottawa Community Housing Tenants

June 19, 2024 – OTTAWA, ON – Approximately 70 volunteers from Home Depot stores across Ottawa joined forces to build benches, a pergola, a deck, flower boxes and picnic tables. These additions will create inviting outdoor spaces for OCH residents to gather and connect.
This marks the third community improvement project Home Depot has completed in partnership with OCH. These initiatives lay the foundation for stronger, more inclusive communities. Home Depot is generously donating the materials needed for the project.
OCH’s Volunteer Engagement Program was established in 2011. It matches corporate partners with projects that are driven by tenants and beautify communities.
